A 32-year-old from Cagliari and a 31-year-old from Assemini were reported on the loose by the Monserrato carabinieri for aggravated theft and undue use of a payment card.

The two, at night, forced parked cars in search of money and credit cards. They were identified after withdrawing cigarettes from the vending machine of the "Pisano" tobacconist's shop in via del Redentore in Monserrato and were filmed by the video surveillance system inside the public establishment.

For small amounts, in fact, it is possible to use the cards without entering the Pin, at least until the card is blocked.

A similar situation was reported by Pirri's carabinieri. It is possible that other similar thefts, at least three, are attributable to the same people. Checks are underway.
