The necropsy report carried out by coroner Roberto Demontis on the body of Mariolina Segauri, the 81-year-old woman from Monserrato, killed last Friday by her husband , Giovanni Secci, who was the same age, was completed this evening.

An expert report confirmed what was known. The pensioner killed his wife on their bed by suffocating her with a pillow . The woman died within minutes without offering any resistance, so much so that no traces of a struggle were found on the victim's body or that of her husband.

Mariolina Seguri's body has already been made available to the family for the funeral.

Giovanni Secci, however, remains in prison. The man, represented by Marco Hossein Khani Forghani Issà, was questioned by the investigating judge for the validation hearing. The 81-year-old responded to questions by discussing his wife's medical condition, her serious health problems, and those she had recently been diagnosed with, but did not provide a specific motive for the crime . The investigating judge validated the arrest and issued a new order keeping the 81-year-old in prison.
