Stopped in a car by the carabinieri in Monserrato, a 25-year-old local was found in possession of a katana: the weapon, a sort of saber, was confiscated.

A complaint was filed for the young man for possession of a weapon. It is now being investigated to trace the origin of the katana and why the suspect kept it in the car.

The kidnapping took place in the context of a prevention service set up throughout the hinterland on the orders of the Compagnia di Quartu Command. The services involved not only Monserrato, but also Selargius, Sestu, and Quartucciu. About fifty people identified.

Some have even been subjected to alcohol testing with a complaint: a 22-year-old, with a clean record, allegedly drank almost three times the limit allowed to drive a car.
