Rain and strong wind, a Monday with waves up to 6 meters high on the coasts of Sardinia.

The regional Civil Protection has issued a code yellow alert for rain and floods which will be in force from 2pm until midnight tomorrow, Monday 4 March. It mainly affects the western area of the island: Montevecchio Pischinappiu, Tirso and Logudoro.

The warning of adverse weather conditions for strong winds and storms is valid from midnight and will be in force until midnight.

According to what we read, from the early hours of Monday and throughout the day, Sardinia will be affected by winds ranging from moderate to strong from the West, North-West, with intensification up to gale force on the northern and western coasts and on the ridges . All exposed coasts may therefore be affected by storm surges: on those in the North-West, waves of 6 meters high are expected, while on those in Southern Sardinia and in the Gulf of Cagliari, waves with an average height of around 2.5 meters are expected.
