The Mogoro City Council meets on Tuesday 16 July at 4pm to discuss the proposed amendment to Article 51 of the building regulations, a topic postponed to the last meeting due to the absence of the opposition councilors who proposed it.

It could be the way out for the solution to the request that under the bust of the former secretary Enrico Berlinguer positioned in the town square, a parchment be placed with the writing: "In memory of the communists of Mogoro who fought for freedom, justice and the emancipation of work. The comrades of the PCI section posed” , with the hammer and sickle symbol next to it.

The Council had denied authorization precisely because article 51 did not allow the highlighting of elements attributable to political ideologies. It will be interesting to understand whether the Council will approve the proposed changes which evidently seek to overcome this obstacle in the regulation.
