The special flight organized by Ita Airways will take off tomorrow morning from Fiumicino to bring little Mirko back to Sardinia, Sestu's child who has been stuck in Rome for weeks, hospitalized at the Bambino Gesù pediatric hospital, because there is no scheduled flight with transport service on stretcher. The company responded to the appeal launched by mother Elisabetta who asked for help from air carriers: her son cannot travel seated but only lying on a stretcher and carrying oxygen, due to his particular health conditions.

The happy ending is therefore near: tomorrow morning at 11 the AZ 8901 of Ita Airways will take off from Fiumicino towards Cagliari, arriving at 12.05. On the plane, the company explains, “all the medical equipment necessary to make Mirko fly safely will be present, together with a doctor and a nurse from the Bambino Gesù health team, who will accompany the child to their destination. Doctor and nurse will be brought back to Rome Fiumicino always with a flight operated by Ita Airways ". Accompanying little Mirko will also be the carrier's company doctor, "who oversaw the interior layout of the flight, in compliance with the health standards linked to the conditions of the pediatric patient".

A result that was possible to achieve thanks to the collaboration between several forces, and despite the fact that Ita Airways does not operate on Sardinia.
