Minor sisters raped in South Sardinia, 50 thousand euros in compensation from the Government
The Commissioner also awarded € 733 for medical expenses to a woman beaten by her husband
Two women who, still minors, had been raped by a neighbor in southern Sardinia will now receive compensation equal to 50 thousand euros.
This was established by the prefect Marcello Cardona, Commissioner for initiatives in favor of the victims of the mafia and violent crimes, a structure of the Ministry of the Interior.
The violence by the man, who was considered a friend of the family, on the two little sisters occurred from 2004 to 2008.
The Commissioner's office, which among other things establishes the "predetermined compensation" to victims of malicious crimes with violence to the person, also assigned 732.95 euros, for medical expenses, to a victim of violence: she had been beaten and wounded by her husband, from whom she later separated, from 2015 to 2018, as ascertained by the carabinieri. The events took place in Genoa. The man hit her in the neck with a broken bottle in the last fight and caused her a neurological injury.
