Fourteen non-EU citizens - 11 men, two minors and a woman - were intercepted during the night in Carloforte by personnel of the Port Authority and by the Carabinieri.

They were in via Garibaldi: they reported that they were Algerians. They reached the coast on a fiberglass boat about 6 meters long with a 40 horsepower outboard motor. The vessel was found and confiscated.

The group of migrants was accompanied to the reception center in Monastir.
