Two people are hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning. They are the mayor of Assolo Giuseppe Minnei and his wife. According to an initial reconstruction, the fumes would have come from a faulty boiler, even though it had been recently replaced.

Yesterday evening the husband and wife began to feel the first symptoms of malaise, headache and vomiting, then the situation began to worsen. The alarm was raised by a nurse who had gone to the two to administer another treatment.

When the health worker saw the situation, he immediately called 118 and the two were hospitalized at the Marino hospital in Cagliari, where they were treated in a hyperbaric chamber. The firefighters of Ales and the Carabinieri intervened on site.
