As many as 3,800 Indian hemp plants were found by the police in the countryside of Bottidda and Burgos , in two separate operations that led to the arrest of a man and a woman for cultivation and possession of marijuana, caught in the act.

The blitzes were triggered at the end of investigations by the Oristano Mobile Squad in collaboration with that of Sassari.

In Bottidda there are 3,200 plants found , to manage everything was a woman. Not far from the maxi plantation, the agents found 150 cardboard boxes with about 500 kilos of narcotics and a sack with another 50 kilos of marijuana inside a cottage. The search was then extended to the woman's home, where another 200 kilos of drugs were found hidden in eight bins.

The man, on the other hand, managed 600 plants in Burgos and kept 120 bags of illegally processed light hemp in a warehouse , so much so that the forensic analysis revealed a THC of 12%, well above the legal limit of 0.5%.

The investigating judge validated both arrests.
