The high temperatures and the mistral wind are fueling some fires in Sardinia. The most serious occurred in the afternoon near state road 196 in Villasor , in the south of the island. The smoke made the transit of vehicles difficult and dangerous, with Anas having to temporarily close the road in both directions, diverting the traffic on site, which then returned to normal.

Firefighters and foresters are operating on site, as well as a helicopter from the regional fleet to drop water bombs .

A second helicopter is busy supporting the teams on the ground in two other fires that broke out in Serdiana and Narcao .

Finally, firefighters at work in Elmas for another fire. At present, none of the fires has reported any problems for the population or damage to companies.
