Tragedy touched in Muravera with a flock hit by three cars along the old Sardinian Oriental three kilometers from the town: the drivers and occupants of the vehicles who suffered serious damage were unharmed.

Twenty sheep were killed on the asphalt .

The alarm came immediately with the arrival of the carabinieri from the Muravera station, the mobile radio operating department of the Compagnia di San Vito, the fire brigade and the veterinarians of the ASL. Heavy inconvenience : in front of everyone a terrible show with the animals that ended up on the asphalt with no escape .

Major Massimo Meloni, commander of the San Vito Carabinieri Company, was also on site, with the investigations going on until the sheep carcasses were removed.

It seems that the animals were regularly kept in the fold from where they would have rushed away, terrified by an invasion of stray dogs.
