Alleged attempted murder in Martis this morning.

At least that's what the alleged victim, Gavino Addis, claims, who told his lawyer that he was attacked by two people on two tractors. The 62-year-old farmer is known in the news as the person responsible for the murder of Valentino Saba, a fellow villager, beaten to death at the end of a fight, right in Martis, in December 2015 after Addis allegedly surprised him on his farm.

He had been sentenced in 2018 on appeal to 14 years in prison and recently, after a period of probation, he was in custody and working in a company near the town. And while he was going there, according to his version, he would have suffered this assault.

Rescued by 118, he was taken to the Santissima Annunziata hospital where he still is.

The man's lawyer, Gianmario Fois, announced that as soon as his client leaves the hospital he will file a complaint. But for the Carabinieri, at the moment, it was only a road accident with minor consequences and nothing of what was declared is true.
