Two advanced courses in violin and drums. It is the latest innovation from the Alessandra Saba Music School of Marrubiu. A new opportunity for musical, professional and artistic growth that will be offered from March. Leading the meetings, which will continue until July, are two established island musicians: Gianmaria Melis, concertmaster of the Orchestra of the Fondazione del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, and Daniele Russo, one of the most important and highly regarded drummers in Sardinia. «They will be inserted in parallel with ordinary instrument lessons - explains the director of the school, Andrea Piras - and will be an opportunity for specialized training, with the aim of raising the technical skills and musical sensitivity of each participant, in order to introduce them in a more mature way. and competitive on the professional circuit." The courses are open to everyone, whether enrolled in the school or not, without any age or residence restrictions. The important thing is to have a good theoretical-practical basis on the instrument.

The meetings, on a monthly basis, will be held in Marrubiu, the school's lead municipality. «There are numerous students from central Sardinia who, to improve their skills, move to Cagliari or Sassari - continues Piras - In this way, we try to facilitate their movements, given the central logistics of Marrubiu, easily reachable both by car and by train ».
