Maracalagonis remembers Alessandra Piga, killed by her husband

She was killed by her husband in 2021 on the peninsula in the province of La Spezia: a horrific crime, with the man later sentenced to life imprisonment. Since then, Alessandra Piga has been regularly remembered in Maracalagonis, where she is buried and where her family lives. On Friday, a symbolic march will take place in the town, organized by the municipal administration, in collaboration with sports associations, in memory of all the victims of femicide. In particular, Alessandra Piga, "citizen of Maracalagonis."

The meeting is at 6:30 PM in Piazza Chiesa, where the "Santo Stefano" music association will be present. The march will wind through Via Cagliari, Via Roma, Via Puccini, Via Aretino, Via Cagliari, and Piazza Chiesa. All citizens are invited to participate.
