Two people were injured in a road accident which occurred on the old Sardinian Orientale, near Burranca, at the 17th kilometre.

For reasons still under investigation, the car they were traveling in overturned, apparently without the involvement of other vehicles.

One of the occupants was transferred to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, the other to the Polyclinic.

The Sanluri traffic police and the fire brigade are on site.

There was no shortage of inconvenience for motorists in transit.
