Go beyond Corporate Social Responsibility , i.e. beyond the sense of responsibility that a company or any other business entity demonstrates towards the community and the social environment in which it operates. On the concept of personal responsibility, a round table broadcast in streaming was held this morning in the great hall of the University of Sassari in favor of about fifty Italian universities entitled " Some socially ethical and sustainable business models ".
The rector Gavino Mariotti and the pro-rector of the Third Mission Pier Andrea Serra did the honors: «Professionalism is also needed to manage the economic aspect in the world of volunteering if we want to increase the effectiveness of the initiatives».
The topic was explored by Cinzia Pilo , a manager who has also worked abroad and after the rare genetic disease that struck one of her children, she put her professionalism at the service of volunteering, founding two associations ( Debra Italia and Fondazione Reb Onlus ) and writing a sort of handbook ("Some socially ethical and sustainable business models") where he reports his own experience and that of others to help those managers who want to make themselves useful to society and above all to the weaker sections .
The initiative also involved the Banco di Sardegna , represented by Giuseppe Pirisi, head of microcredit: «Nowadays, for companies and institutions there is not only the financial balance, there are not only the numbers, but there is also a budget that concerns the social and welfare aspects".
