The search for Giuseppe Tolu , the 87-year-old pensioner who disappeared on Sunday evening after leaving a retirement home in Villasalto, continues almost unabated.

The operations - also conducted with drones and thermal imaging cameras - continued uninterrupted until 2am last night.

Under the lens the area of Villasalto, Padru and the impervious area of Domestia.

In action, in addition to the carabinieri, firefighters and civil protection, also four technicians from the Alpine Rescue stations of Cagliari, Iglesias and Medio Campidano, assisted by the Mobile Coordination Centre, a vehicle equipped with all the technologies to support the searches, positioned near the town hall.

The searches will also continue at this time. At the moment, there is still no trace of the elderly man.
