The ice cream maker from Macomer , Nicolò Vellino of "Dolci Sfizi" , who triumphed for the sixth consecutive time in the Gambero Rosso guide Gelaterie d'Italia , was awarded the Veneretta, the official symbol of the town, yesterday evening in the town council .
The prestigious statuette was presented by the mayor Riccardo Uda who, addressing the famous ice cream maker, said: «What you have achieved at the International Ice Cream and Pastry Show in Rimini makes us feel important, because it projects our town throughout Italy and Europe. We appreciate and are proud of the recognition, the fruit of your commitment, which makes our town great ».
Nicolò Vellino, who offered his sweet treats to the entire council, replied: "I am happy to give value to our town and our territory. It is all the result of the commitment and work that I always carry out with passion".
In recent days, Nicolò Vellino obtained the highest recognition in Rimini, with the Three Cones of Gambero Rosso.
