She sings about her land, she sings about traditions and she sings in church. A melodious and particular voice, that of Angela Farina, 37 years old, originally from Tresnuraghes, who can be considered a rising star also in the field of traditional singing. Since she was a teenager she has been fascinated by the deep and unique voice of Maria Carta, who immediately becomes its interpreter.
"In 2012 I made the big leap, making myself discovered by the general public - says the young singer - in fact I was invited to Siligo on the occasion of the tenth edition of the "Premio Maria Carta", where I proposed the arrangement of two songs, such as "Stabat Mater" and "Diglielo al tuo Dio", together with my father, Pasqualino, who accompanied me on the guitar, together with the flute of Eugenio Lugliè".
Since then, Angela Farina has come a long way. A voice that travels and that is also liked by the general public, participating in important regional television programs. But it is her passion for Sardinian singing that leads her to dedicate herself to the research and study of now lost melodies and to undertake collaborations with other children of art. In June, a music video will be released of a song by maestro Ennio Camedda di Musei, known for having written the mass in Sardinian for a four-part choir. Angela Farina acts in all fields. In fact, she is part of a group of young people from Macomer who produce Christian liturgical music. They are "ReOver", who published their latest song entitled "Come Te" just over a month ago, of which Angela Farina is the soloist. An initiative well received by the periodical of the diocese of Alghero and Bosa, "Dialogo".
Angela Farina defines music as a noble art, which necessarily leads to the sharing of emotions with the hope of always doing better in future projects. She currently directs the parish choir "Sant'Anna" of Flussio and Tinnura for the liturgical animation of the two communities, but also the female folk choir "Coro Cuncordia" of Bosa, with sacred and profane repertoire in limba. She also sings in a group for singing "a cuncordu", the "Trio Unisono", which is characterized by the innovative choice of intertwining the female voice with the male voice.
