It's easy to find on the table even far from the island, thanks to the great attention to quality combined over time with the ability to monitor the markets and add the requested varieties according to the tastes of each area.
Samassi celebrates its artichokes, and is doing so for the 36th time, despite a much older tradition and a year partially ruined by recent floods. But Samassi, over time, has learned to organize itself to harvest more than one crop per year, thus limiting the damage, even though it was serious.
The 36th Artichoke Festival will feature a rich program from March 12th to 15th.

There is a fair, exhibitions, reviews, tastings, folklore, sports, show cooking, cultural initiatives and shows, with the final concert by the Istentales.
