A fierce group of girls from Luras will represent Italy in the Dance World Cup world final.

The Mini Folk Tamponeddu dance group won the Italian qualifications for the international event that every year involves approximately 120 thousand children and young people from all over the world, aged between 4 and 25.

In Cascina (Pisa) Su Ballittu prevailed among 76 choreographies in competition, the 12 dancers from Luras won the Italian qualifications and will be the ones to participate in the final in Burgos (Spain) from 3 to 12 July .

President Giacomina Scano and maestro Alessandro Secchi guided Giorgia Dessì, Clara Scano, Matilde Seu, Emma Satta, Viola Cossu, Greta Tilocca, Federica Pinna, Caterina Contini, Giovanna Depperu, Anna Cabras, Serena Spadavecchia and Alice Ciaffiu to victory.

The girls won the gold medal for best choreography and obtained first place, which takes them straight to the Spanish final. The historical study on the Luras costume was entrusted to Gian Nicola Lentinu. Dance World Cup is considered one of the most important dance competitions for the very young, the "Dance Olympics". The judges are leading exponents of the genres of ballet, modern, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, tap, singing and dancing, street/hip hop.
