Sardinia is the first Italian region to have started the opening of local offices in the testing phase of the Ministry of Justice project. A total of 17, out of the 21 planned, have already been inaugurated.

This morning the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 17th office, that of Alghero (after Milis, those of La Maddalena, Nule, Quartu Sant'Elena and Sant'Antioco will follow in the next few days).

«An important project launched on our island to bring justice closer to the communities , in particular to the suburbs and municipalities more isolated compared to the reference centers, is nearing completion», said the councilor for planning, Giuseppe Fasolino.

«A project - continued the representative of the Solinas Council - qualifying and now considered essential in the field of services to the citizen, which adds to the measures already implemented by the Region in favor of improving the quality of life, the fight against depopulation and support for local authorities which also saw huge resources used in the recently approved Budget Change to support the Municipalities".

Through the local offices, the Region underlines, «citizens will be able to forward the paperwork to the Support Administration; request authorization from the guardianship judge; request authorization to issue valid documents for expatriation; request the appointment of a special curator; receive support for completing the forms in force at the judicial offices; have advice and support on legal protection institutions (guardians, minor guardianships, support administration); obtain assistance for other voluntary jurisdiction services that do not require the assistance of a lawyer. In short, the local offices will allow you to receive information and submit requests within the scope of voluntary jurisdiction (legal assistance activities are excluded)".
