The emergency medical transport , carried out with an Air Force F900 Easy aircraft, of a 2-day-old newborn from Cagliari to Milan Linate ended in the middle of the night.

The child - reports the Air Force - in imminent danger of life, in fact needed to be transferred urgently from the Duilio Casula Hospital in Monserrato to the Institute for Scientific Hospitalization and Care (IRCCS) Policlinico San Donato Milanese.

The life-saving flight was activated, at the request of the Prefecture of Cagliari, by the Air Force which immediately involved the 31st Wing, one of the Departments that carries out the operational readiness service for this kind of missions.

Once all the necessary procedures had been carried out, the aircraft took off from Ciampino airport and landed shortly after midnight in Cagliari Elmas where the little patient, together with her parents, was immediately boarded on the aircraft bound for Milan Linate.

Landing in the Lombard airport at 1.45 am, the newborn was then transported by ambulance to the San Donato hospital for subsequent hospitalization.
