The Italian Touring Club has awarded the "Orange Flags" for the three-year period 2024-2026. In all of Italy there are 281, in Sardinia seven, in the province of Oristano one: for the second time it has arrived in the Municipality of Laconi.

The recognition to the town of Sant'Ignazio was delivered a few days ago to the municipal councilor Manuela Mereu in Milan, during the inaugural day of the International Tourism Exchange which was also attended by the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè.

The Orange Flag is awarded to inland municipalities that are able to express great excellence in environmental, cultural, food and wine, hospitality and social innovation terms, and that find in tourism a concrete opportunity for relaunching, despite the difficulties due to their marginal situation.

The mayor of Laconi, Argiolas: «For us this is a confirmation. I am honored to receive this recognition once again. The projects that the Municipality sets up to enhance the territory evidently work. Then, applause goes to the accommodation facilities for welcoming guests."

The certification, which is valid for three years, comes after the analysis of the experiences told by travellers. According to the Touring club, this is a stimulus for continuous improvement, which brings real and tangible benefits for the entities involved.
