Safe routes for children going to school, "friendly" shops to ask for help in case of need, support for those who take care of teenagers and meeting points between teachers, educators and associations. It is the future of the Navy, in Cagliari, according to the objectives of Acccresce, the project selected by "Con i Bambini" as part of the Fund for the fight against child educational poverty, which intends to break the isolation in which school and family ended and give a concrete response to the educational crisis, creating an alliance between adults who deal with childhood and adolescence.

So a neighborhood transformed into an educating community.

The plan will develop over two years with a first phase of listening and sharing dedicated to weaving relationships to bring the elements that make up the educating community closer together. School, associations, families, public bodies will work for the co-planning of the next phase made up of shared actions. There will be numerous workshops and meetings during which the various educational figures will be able to put the most urgent issues on the table and work on solutions to then start the second part of the project, more operational, in which the co-designed actions will be implemented.

Examples include the "pedagogical cafes", meeting and listening spaces created to address the problems of the youngest with shared solutions and not descended from above and, again, to offer specific support to those who deal with adolescents and deal, with the help of experts, complex and ever-changing themes that concern them and that can disarm even the most attentive adults. In addition, the "friend" shop with the availability of merchants: you will have the opportunity to call your parents, wait there for their arrival or ask for help in case of need.

Beware of malamovida: in a neighborhood highly sensitive to the themes of childhood and adolescence, where everyone feels they are part of an educating community - explain the project managers -, it will be more difficult to remain indifferent towards very young people who drink alcohol or are at risk of slipping into risky situations.

«Educational poverty - which occurs when a minor is deprived or limited in his right to learn, train, develop skills and competences, cultivate his own aspirations and talents - affects millions of children and young people in Italy, and represents a real problem of our country and Sardinia in particular», underlined Laura Ligas, coordinator of the Acccresce project.
