In La Maddalena, the issue of repairs to the damaged road surface is once again at the center of political debate.

At the latest City Council meeting, several councilors highlighted a long-standing issue among residents: asphalt and paving on streets and squares, which, after work has been completed, are not always returned to the city in adequate condition.

The opposition politician Alberto Mureddu forcefully raised the issue, highlighting how the results of asphalt and paving interventions are often unsatisfactory. Mureddu urged the city administration to strengthen controls and require contractors to perform professional repairs, both on paved roads and on historic paving stones, which are sometimes poorly patched. Giovanni Manconi, who drew attention to some interventions in the Moneta neighborhood, echoed his sentiments.

In particular, flooding has been reported in front of the Disciplina, with disruption also affecting some homes.

Responding to the requests was Luca Falchi, the councilor responsible for maintenance, who admitted that the Moneta work is still ongoing and not completed. Precisely while the construction sites are being definitively closed, Falchi explained, "unfortunately, problems and critical issues have arisen, which the Administration is monitoring."

Annalisa Gulino, also from the opposition, also spoke in the debate, citing the example of the work done in Piazza Comando. Here, following infrastructure work, the reddish granite curbs were partially torn out and recently replaced, albeit in a different color, altering the paving pattern. Falchi reported that she had already made the necessary reports and hoped for further intervention to ensure compliance.
