The Cagliari Prosecutor's Office has requested a 17-year and 4-month prison sentence for 26-year-old Fabio Concas, who confessed to the murder of Alessandro Cambuca, the 27-year-old stabbed to death in October 2024 in Assemini, in a house where the two were spending the night with other friends after attending the Santa Greca festival in Decimomannu.

The trial is being held under an abbreviated procedure; Cagliari preliminary hearing judge Giulia Tronci has set a new date for February 24, the day the sentence is expected to be read.

Concas's lawyer, Franco Villa, contested the prosecutor's requests, also for failing to take into account mitigating circumstances (the 26-year-old had confessed and had the murder weapon recovered) and a possible partial mental health defect (the defense's expert report had supported a reduced capacity).
