Accused of having participated in the kidnapping of Titti Pinna, which took place in Bonorva on September 19, 2006. The trial against Antonio Michele Piredda, a 58-year-old entrepreneur from Nulvi, opened today in the Court of Assizes in Sassari, 19 years after the last kidnapping carried out in Sardinia: having entered as a witness in the trials that ended with the convictions of Salvatore Atzas, Giovanni Maria Manca, Antonio Faedda, Giovanni Sanna and his sister Francesca, Piredda now sits in the dock following the investigations conducted by the prosecutor of the DDA of Cagliari, Gilberto Ganassi, who had received the documents from the court that issued the sentences that have now become definitive.

Assisted by the lawyer Antonella Cuccureddu, according to the prosecution's hypothesis , Piredda would have made available the van, a Renault Kangoo that he had at his disposal at the time, which would have been used to transport Titti Pinna from Bonorva to Sedilo, where he had remained imprisoned until May 2007, when he managed to free himself and escape. Before the panel presided over by Giancosimo Mura, the entrepreneur is also called to answer for his participation in the negotiations for the hostage's release. Hypotheses, those of the investigators, that Piredda rejects in toto and professes himself extraneous to the affair.

Titti Pinna will also have to appear at the Assize Court, where she will testify on June 3. On that occasion, once again, she will have to recall those terrible days.
