April 25 is the anniversary of the liberation from fascism, but it is also the birth date of Guglielmo Marconi, the scientist who invented the radio .

To commemorate this last event, the DX Coros team and the Radioclub Mediterraneo DX Club, in collaboration with the Ari Porto Torres section, organize a special opening of the Mario Faedda radio museum in Ittiri , with guided tours and radio activities, from 10 at 19.

The day of celebration will be taken advantage of to open the museum to the public and activate the IQ0AAI station, with a diploma that will make Ittiri and its museum known throughout the world.

The museum, named in memory of the founder, Dr. Mario Faedda, is located at number 17/19 of via Dante di Ittiri, inside an old mill. The exhibition at the museum has over 200 devices, made between the end of the 20s and the 80s of the last century . Also present will be the glorious Cge of the Municipality of Ittiri, a radio through which local citizens listened to the broadcasts of the time.

Adjacent to the radio museum you can also admire the old flour mill and an old corn slush machine from 1931. A small repair and test laboratory for the radios present has also been created inside the museum.
