They attack in swarms. Ten at a time, at least. Low altitude, invisible to radar, scrutinized with the naked eye. Remotely guided, precise and destructive. Real air kamikaze. It is no coincidence that those who are upsetting the war between Russia and Ukraine have an eloquent name: Shahed-136, or "witness to the faith", or even more explicitly a real "martyr". The drones that Vladimir Putin is launching towards power plants and strategic locations in Ukraine are technically "stray bombs", " loitering munition ", or "suicide drones". Most of the time they are remotely guided through an electro-optical navigation system, with which the remote operator can guide the aircraft in the last decisive phases of contact with the pre-established mission. Other times they rely on autonomous and satellite navigation, possible in Ukraine, because the systems used can use Glonass, the Gps made in Russia. The parties in dispute deny: those drones are not Shaded-136, the deadly Iranian drones accused of the latest raids in Kiev. Western military intelligence , however, have no doubts, it is them. Indeed on the ground they would have found even some remnants repainted. Putin's men may have repainted them and renamed them Geran-2. Still drones, however, are.

"Stray bombs" breakthrough

For all military affairs observers, this is a breakthrough on the ground. It is especially so for those who have always earned a lot of money on wars, regardless of the race for rearmament, ready to enjoy the war exclalation , capable, according to their judgment, of dramatically increasing turnover and shares on the stock market. . In the military suburbs it has been discussed for some time, for years the analyzes of the warmongers of all latitudes have been nourished by the Latin tribal movement " Si vis pacem, para bellum ", "If you want peace, prepare for war". And they prepare the war with more and more sophisticated weapons. It did not take long to convince the Western states to put their money back, regardless of the advancing poverty, in order to bring military spending back to the stars. The war industries did not let themselves be begged. The last terrain of conquest is, in fact, that of "stray bombs", those drones to be used to devastate otherwise unreachable targets. And Sardinia, as often happens when there is dangerous productions to be downloaded in no man's land, is dramatically at the forefront. The story is all foreign to foreign, with a final impact, the decisive one, in Sardinian land, in that strip of land dug and fenced off at the foot of the Marganai, in the warmongering enclave between Iglesias and Domusnovas. The news, as often happens in these cases, is entrusted to indecipherable cables of war affairs. There are more states at stake, from the United States of America to Israel, from Germany to Italy.

Under track

Certainly in the operation kept under wraps there are two world giants in the production of weapons, on the one hand the Israelis of UVision and on the other the Germans of Rheinmetall. The operation is circumspect. There is no talk of economic relations, contracts are secured, but we certainly know that UVision, owner of the most advanced war drone in circulation, also supplied to the US Marines, wants to break the western market. Producing and selling their war "toys" to all the "starving" armies of the anti Putin front is the mission. The war friends of the re-elected Israeli prime minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, to do so, however, must go through a direct relationship with a European factory. The chosen company is Rheinmetall, a German company from Düsseldorf, which “enjoys” an operational arm located deep in Sulcis, southern Sardinia, 50 km from the port and airport of Cagliari. Not a detail, given that Germany, after the greed for war that has characterized its history, was, but perhaps still is, pervaded by a sense of rejection towards wars such as to condition the very activity of arms manufacturers. In practice, business yes, earnings as well, but as a matter of conscience, certain "games" are played elsewhere. It is no coincidence that Germany, that of the German Angela, openly contested the war in Yemen, heavily attacking the criminal regime of Saudi Arabia. Too bad, however, that Germany itself sold him the bombs used to kill the Yemeni populations produced directly in Domusnovas, in the German factory in the land of Sardinia. In short, they filled the German pockets, washing their conscience on Sardinian soil. The case of the agreement between the Israelis and the Germans is no exception. The operation is so "sensitive" that, as soon as the war flirtation was heard, the German parliament immediately called the Minister of Defense to answer for it. On 29 September in the austere parliamentary halls the response was disarming: "The German Ministry of Defense sees the global spread of stray ammunition as a worrying development, regardless of the degree of automation of the systems." And he adds: "With those drones there are potential for threats against the Bundeswehr (German army) and its allies." In the German parliament, however, there is even a poll on public opinion in Berlin: 72% of citizens are against this kind of "stray ammunition". The indictment is enough to let go of both production and trade, at least on German soil. The "Germans", however, certainly do not renounce to the hefty earnings: eye does not see, wallet does not cry.

Germans & conscience

The solution was soon found: “unloading” the task and awareness of those productions directly in Sardinia. The factory is already in full production, the headquarters are Sardinian, but Rwm speaks German, the Italic arm of Rheinmetall, located right in the heart of the Mediterranean, on the Nuraghi Island. For this reason, in recent days, military agencies have begun to break the news, with no names and surnames on the first massive purchase of Israeli drones made in Sardinia. The company name of the manufacturer, on the other hand, is quite clear: Rwm Italia, the German one of Domusnovas, will be the “prime contractor” for the European market, supplying and producing some components of the ammunition, assembling the systems and managing the logistic support.

Upload to the Island

According to international sources, Sardinia would have been entrusted with the most "noble" task, to load the warhead of the Heroes, the Israeli drones made in Sardinia intended to counter, no one knows where and how, the Russian advance in Ukraine. Rheinmetall and UVision, according to the War Affairs Exchange, have won a first order from a major European NATO military force for Hero stray ammunition. The customer, a special forces training, ordered Hero-30 combat and training ammunition, simulator, training courses, equipment and integrated logistics support. The contract is considered "classified", that is, classified, but it is known that the first supplies of the armed drone in Sardinia are expected from the beginning of next year. The Germans toast: this is the first delivery to a large European NATO force, an identification which remains secret but which induces an innate spirit of emulation. And, in fact, commenting on the first Sardinian-German-Israeli contract, the producers of the alter ego of the Iranian “martyr” admitted: «This strengthens the joint presence of both partners in Europe. The contract was awarded with secrecy clauses that limit the disclosure of all its details ».

Easy to use"

The wartime greed and prosopope of the arms manufacturers cannot hold back and adds: "However, before the contract was awarded, the client conducted a market survey indicating that the Hero family (that of Israeli drones) it was already demonstrated in service with other militaries such as the United States Marine Corps. In addition, it has been noted that due to the high operability of the Hero family of systems, there is a possibility that the customer will also introduce the next series Hero ammunition into its military in the future. The conclusion is limitless to decency: "This is a versatile and easy to use combat power multiplier." In Germany they have nothing to worry about, so much so that they washed their conscience in Domusnovas, on the slopes of Marganai, in poor Sulcis forced to produce lethal weapons to earn millionaire contracts for rich Germans.
