On Sunday, July 5th, the Isili Emergency Room will be open again to provide emergency services. This was confirmed in a press release from the Cagliari Local Health Authority. "We understand the concerns," it states. "The temporary closure on July 4th, decided by the Medical Directorate, was necessary to ensure the safety of residents due to a sudden shortage of medical staff that could not be addressed in a timely manner."

During the suspension of the service, the 118 network, the Continuity of Care and the connection with the relevant Emergency Rooms remained active.

Meanwhile, the Local Health Authority (ASL) has started receiving further expressions of interest in recruiting additional professionals, in collaboration with the Region and Ares.

"An intervention plan is needed for the summer period," the ASL concludes. "Dialogue with the local authorities remains essential."
