The joint exercise carried out by the Alpine Rescue and Speleological Sardinia together with the Air Force ended this morning at around 8: in the field the 80th CSAR Center of Decimomannu belonging to the 15th wing of the Air Force, the operational base of the Experimental and Training and Joint Forces Polygon of Salto di Quirra and specialized technicians in speleological rescue. The goal is to recover an injured speleologist in the Is Angurdidorgius Cave .

The AOC - Aerospace Operations Command of Poggio Renatico Ferrara was also present to coordinate the operations, which approved the preparatory activities and coordinated the flight plan.

The event began yesterday afternoon with the arrival in Perdasdefogu of the 139B helicopter based in Decimomannu and the embarkation of the teams to be helicopter transported, together with the equipment, near the entrance of the cavity, to start the recovery intervention.

The operations went on all night until the base camp, set up inside the joint polygon and in constant communication with the cave entrance, received notification that the recovery operations had been concluded and the stretcher was finally out of the cavity. .

The teams were then recovered from the 139B helicopter of the 80th CSAR Center in Decimomannu which helicopter transported them to the Inter-force Polygon of Salto di Quirra.

The exercise is part of those scheduled periodically by the Air Force with the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps which are carried out throughout the national territory.
