Regarding the appeal presented by Gianluigi Carta , president of the Oristano Industrial Consortium, the TAR judges ruled in favor of Provincial President Paolo Pireddu , who had revoked Carta's appointment on March 13.
In his appeal, Carta argued that his appointment was for a five-year term and was not subject to free dismissal. According to his argument, dismissal was possible only in the presence of serious breaches or specific reasons , which in his opinion did not exist.
The Province, however, proceeded with a single decree : dismissing the outgoing representative and simultaneously appointing the entity's new delegate to the Consortium. The choice fell on Samugheo entrepreneur Antonello Demelas , selected from the shortlist proposed by the Cagliari-Oristano Chamber of Commerce, along with Luigi Attianese and Roberta Cutuli . And the former mayor of Samugheo and former provincial councilor is said to be in pole position to lead the consortium.
"The revocation is justified in the documents," President Pireddu wrote in his resolution, "and responds to the need to ensure operational continuity and revitalize the Industrial Consortium's activities, a strategic hub for the development of the area."
