"Sardinia is an attractive market and it is a strong positive sign that an important carrier such as Grimaldi is investing with a new free-market route that increases the number of connections to and from the island, paving the way for new destinations, such as the French Riviera ". This was stated by the regional councilor for transport, Giorgio Todde, who this morning attended the inauguration of the new Porto Torres-Savona shipping line of Grimaldi Lines , which will be operated with the Zeus Palace ferry .

Until 1 July there are three departures per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Porto Torres, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Savona) which will become six (every day except Sunday) until 18 September and then return three times a week . until December 31st .

"It is a route - added Todde - that is starting on the right foot, there are already over 50 thousand bookings and important numbers are expected. We are working to increase the offer of Sardinia both in terms of goods and passengers and we know well that we are in a strategic position and we must be better and better at enhancing it. Sardinia can still grow in terms of connections - as recently demonstrated by the choice of two air carriers that have agreed to travel without compensation for the three airports - and the Region will continue to commit itself in this direction ".

"Sardinia is increasing its naval connections - is the comment of the President of the Regional Council Michele Pais - and the section that opens today in Porto Torres represents an important signal for our island to restart".
