White balloons, applause and a lot of emotion this afternoon for the final farewell to Alessio Norman Cireddu, the 28-year-old boy from Villasimius who died in the night between 9 and 10 March following a scooter accident. Alessio was a golden boy "and he gave us so much love - underlined the parish priest Don Gianni Soro - we must say thank you for the time he allowed us to spend with him".

Alessio was returning home on a scooter when he ran off the road during the night between 9 and 10 March. It's difficult to understand what could have happened: a fall of sleep, an animal crossing, a fatal distraction.

Three young lives have been lost in Villasimius due to a motorbike accident in just over a year.
