In the municipality of Stintino, the cleaning and redevelopment operation of the historic fortifications of the Second World War, often neglected and in a state of abandonment, begins.

The forts object of the intervention are located between the Saline area and Monti Frattu, an important historical site which includes as many as 17 positions including tobruk, pillo, bunkers, artillery positions, but also covered barracks and anti-tank blocks belonging to the 204th Division Italian coast.

The initiative, promoted by the Clean Up volunteer association and supported by the municipal administration, is scheduled for Tuesday 11 April at 9.30 with a meeting point, for those who want to participate, at the parking lot located in front of the Beach Club 69 bathing establishment. The appeal is aimed at all citizens who intend to preserve and enhance the historical and cultural heritage, contributing to the cleaning and maintenance of the surrounding area. Participants will be given gloves and collection bags.
