A treasury of 11 million: 9.5 will be used to improve the city while one and a half million will be kept except to cover any needs or emergencies. It is the proposal for the use of the free budget surplus valid for the 2022 annuality licensed today by the municipal council of Quartu and which will be submitted to the Council for examination in the next few days.

In the intentions of the executive headed by Graziano Milia , the available funds should be used mainly to carry out programs that have already started or are in an advanced planning stage, such as the road connection between via Czechoslovakia, via Italia and via Luxembourg, intended to definitively reconnect to the city a portion of the neighborhood so far isolated.

For the construction of the link road, which will have the characteristics of a tree-lined urban avenue and equipped with cycle-pedestrian paths, one million two hundred thousand euros will be used from the municipal coffers, in addition to the 600 thousand euros of regional derivation.

The continuation of the road and sidewalk restoration and maintenance program is also planned, which envisages the use of 2 million and 250 thousand euros on the third lot of works, divided between the urban center (1,400,000), the coast and the suburbs.

Just over two million euros are allocated to public works, almost all of which are co-financed by the Municipality: among the planned interventions, those concerning the schools in via Tiziano and Beethoven (100 thousand euros), that for the continuation of the works in the sports-environmental center of Sa Cora-Is Arenas (240 thousand euros in co-financing plus another 445 thousand regional), the works for the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli (441 thousand euros) and the completion of the interiors of the Palazzetto in via Beethoven (150 thousand euros).

Three hundred and fifty thousand euros will also be allocated to the first lot of works for the carabinieri barracks in via Milano, while 90 thousand will go to the maintenance works of the library in via Dante. 65,000 euros will be allocated to the completion of the Auditorium in via Monsignor Angioni. 2023 could also be the year of the rebirth of the Michelangelo Pira room, in via Brigata Sassari: 300 thousand euros have been calculated to fix it.

The planning of guidelines on the development of the city is also going ahead, with the 500,000 euros allocated for the planning of the Puc, the Pul and the Advertising Implementation Plan. In the Sport, Culture and Tourism chapter, 650,000 Euros are injected, of which 200,000 are intended to increase the attraction and promotion of the area, as well as services and contributions to quality tourist services.

Finally, 750 thousand euros of co-financing from the Iscola project for the institutes in via Turati, Vico and Cimabue, and for the Sociale, with 150 thousand euros allocated for inclusion projects and 70 thousand destined for extraordinary contributions for users of kindergartens.
