A tourist port with three hundred berths, with two new floating pontoons in the Nino Pala quay capable of accommodating over 120/130 berths envisaged in the mooring plan for boats up to 15/16 metres, as well as 15 berths for boats and yachts from 20 to 35 meters.

"From next summer, Porto Torres will be able to guarantee spaces for luxury boats, a target that this port intends to intercept", underlines Giovanni Conoci, entrepreneur of Nautica Service, concessionaire of the port structure in the phase of completion of the works.

Fitted with a state of the art fire and electrical system, the new marina will be completed for the upcoming season. «Porto Torres can aspire with true knowledge to develop an important pleasure boating pole, in close collaboration with the district of Gallura and Olbia, which drives the sector in Sardinia», adds Conoci.

The large traffic of pleasure boating tourism passes through the mouths of Bonifacio and northern Sardinia, coming from the east, i.e. from the Ligurian coasts of the Gulf of Tigullio and those of Tuscany, Lazio and Campania. Direct traffic towards the Maddalena Archipelago and the Costa Smeralda, to then continue towards the west, namely the Côte d'Azur, Spain and the Balearic Islands and vice versa.

«The Turritano port is located “along the road”, located on the passage, he underlines «therefore it is sufficient to allocate a stretch of the coast to nautical services and carry out the necessary works through the concert of all the public bodies protagonists of this territory» .

In the future of the port also the shipbuilding, the tourist development linked to the proximity to the Asinara and the nautical hotel. «Porto Torres could be home to a nautical hotel», says Giovanni Conoci, «thanks to the city that grew up around the port, with all the services within reach of the boat, and a vast coastline overlooking, in a royal position on the great Gulf».
