He is the only one in his litter who has not yet found a home but hope does not abandon him. Willy is 11 months old and a medium sized dog, hazelnut coloured . He is one of the guests of the municipal kennel of Cagliari, ready to say goodbye to his box to embrace the much dreamed of "happily ever after".

The little one arrived at the facility in June 2023 in a malnourished condition. He had been found, with his little brothers, near the Calamosca lighthouse . However, he is the only one of the group who still lives in a box. Upon his arrival, Willy was wary of the workers and ate voraciously. Today, however, he always seeks interaction with the operators, appreciates caresses and tries to make friends even with strangers without being intrusive.

As specified by the Municipality, «Willy has no experience of life in an urban context, he is sociable with other dogs and appreciates playing fetch with objects. For him we are looking for a family of adults, moderately dynamic who will gradually accompany him to have new experiences, residing in an apartment or house with a garden. Willy is up for adoption vaccinated and in possession of a microchip."

The initiative is part of the awareness campaign on the topic of adoptions from the kennel in Via Po, promoted by the Municipality's Wildlife Management Service. The reception hours are from Monday to Saturday from 10 to 12, by appointment, via email canile@comune.cagliari.it or telephone on the numbers 070.6778115 or 070.6776469.
