Everyone looked up when the police helicopter stopped in the sky over Piazza Stagno in Cabras.

No wanted man, but just an original way to greet the 330 students who reached Cabras this morning for the "A social life" event promoted by the postal police . For primary school children and secondary school children arriving from different areas of the province, it was a way to understand closely how police officers work on a daily basis, depending on their specialty. But above all to know the risks that can be encountered online.

The experts in uniform, inside the mega vehicle that travels around Italy to raise awareness among young people, have tried to explain in simple terms what cyberbullying is, when it occurs and how to avoid it. During the chat, an alarming fact emerged: many students said they had had cell phones since the age of four.

The Director of the Sardinian Postal and Communications Police Department, Francesco Greco, also arrived in Cabras: «This is a campaign that explains to young people the dangers of the internet. Unfortunately, there are many pedophiles who lure minors on social media by passing themselves off as their peers. Children should never be left alone with the phone. School is an excellent vehicle for talking to students."

Once they got off the vehicle, the children visited all the stands where the various specialties were present. The forensic police explained how and when fingerprints are taken. The traffic officials instead explained what the dangers are on the road and the importance of wearing a seat belt . The police jet ski was also present in Piazza Stagno. “Are the bad guys even at sea?” asked a nine-year-old boy.

The morning ended in the company of Argo, the police dog. He has the task of showing everyone how to act when there are explosives nearby. A morning to remember for the students.
