The magic of Cap d'Any de l'Alguer continues with numerous initiatives on the calendar.

Tonight, January 2nd and tomorrow , January 3rd, at 9pm, the Teatro Civico will host the Alghero comedy Les batulelles del carrer del portxo , presented by the Obra Cultural de l'Alguer, freely inspired by “La rosa gialla” by Camillo Vittici, translated and adapted to the Algherese language by Giovanni Irranca. (Entrance fee 12 euros, at the Obra Cultural headquarters in via Arduino 44).

Also on Friday 3 January , from 6pm, in the historic centre the little ones will be able to take part in “Treasure hunt – kids”, a fun competition with prizes organised by the CCN Al Centro Storico.

At 6:30 pm, the Cathedral of Santa Maria will be the setting for the screening of the concert El Cant de la Sibilla a les Catedrals de la Mediterrània, performed by the Coro Polifonico Algherese.

Furthermore, until January 8th, it will be possible to visit the exhibition Lligams , the result of the artistic residency of the photographer Gianpaolo Arena and curated by Sonia Borsato at the exhibition rooms of Lo Quarter, every day from 4pm to 8pm.

Saturday 4th January, space for music and comedy: from 6pm the Coral Museum will host the artistic-musical performance This is water , curated by APS Il Colombre, while at 9pm, at the Teatro Civico, a new appointment with the Teatri di Prima review Necessity with the stand-up comedy show There's a Little Tension by Sandro Cappai . Sunday 5 January , from 10:30, sporting event with the Vento de l'Alguer regatta, valid for the winter social offshore sailing championship.

While at 7.45 pm, the Cathedral of Santa Maria will host the concert Dalla Terra al Cielo by and with Franca Masu, accompanied by Fausto Beccalossi, Luca Falomi and Salvatore Maiore, free admission.

On Monday 6th January, the day of the Epiphany, there are many events scheduled: from 10:30, in Largo San Francesco, Les Estrenes, the Festa dels Reis d'Orient will return, with entertainment for children and musical accompaniment by Àngel Maresca, Lo Barber , curated by Plataforma per la Llengua in collaboration with the Scout groups of Alghero (Agesci Alghero 2 and Alghero 4).

Also from 10:30 to 12:30, Befana Rina will liven up the streets of the historic center by meeting children.

Change of location for the traditional comedy curated by the Nuova Piccola Compagnia and the descent of the Befana of the Fire Brigade. The event will be held in Piazza Sulis starting at 16:30 with the distribution of the tickets for the Befana stocking lottery, at 16:45 the comedy The misadventures of a rascal , a free interpretation of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi curated by the association La Nuova Piccola Compagnia. At 5:30 pm the spectacular descent of the Befana of the Fire Brigade.

The rich program will end on Monday evening, in the Church of Mercede, with the last appointment of the Cants del Llum, a choral concert by the Nova Alguer Folklore Song Association.
