Illness during the swim, a man dies in Porto Rotondo

Tragedy this afternoon in Porto Rotondo, on the Su Nuragheddu beach, where a man drowned.

The victim is a 61 -year-old of Dominican origin with an Italian passport.

It happened in the very early hours of the afternoon: the man probably fell ill while swimming .

The rescuers took him and brought him ashore, where the 118 helicopter rescue service intervened. But it was already too late, for the man there was nothing more to be done and the doctors could only ascertain his death.

Yesterday another tragedy took place in Gallura, on the coast of Olbia: a woman died in Pittulongu , struck down by a heart attack while walking on the beach.
