A 58-year-old man from Ilbono was injured in a road accident that occurred shortly after 7.30am today. The incident happened in via Elini, in the town of Ilbono, in front of the police station.

The out-of-control car, a Fiat Panda, crashed into a street lighting pole . The Lanusei firefighters, the medical staff of 118 and the carabinieri of the Lanusei mobile radio unit intervened on site.

The injured man was transported under code red to the Lanusei emergency room where he underwent tests and an alcohol test.
