Over fifty people were identified by the police during the public meeting “Let's build future communities together”, organized by the Rwm Reconversion Committee in Iglesias in a hall of the town hall. Event that included workshops for children and the presentation of the book "Disarming the virus of violence" by Pasquale Pugliese. For some pacifist associations, which made the fact known, it was an "intimidation".

Caminera Noa "expresses concern and indignation at what appears as a clear sign of intimidation towards anyone in favor of an alternative development model to the presence of weapons factories and military bases in the area".
"The serious event that happened yesterday - claims the movement - will certainly not stop the activism of the numerous committees of citizens who in recent years have strongly opposed the expansion of the RWM of Domusnovas and will not even stop the movement that has been fighting for decades for the demilitarization of the island. But it is necessary to denounce this serious act of intimidation, so that no one can ever feel threatened to participate in a public meeting and for their civil and political commitment against weapons and wars ".

The identifications, from what we learn, took place at the end of the presentation of the book when one of the organizers of the demonstration against the military bases in Sardinia, scheduled for next May 22 in front of the Teulada base in Sant'Arresi and advertised with a poster posted outside the town hall.

In his speech, urging massive adhesion to the protest, he asked to "put aside the differences of the different groups and acronyms, try to demonstrate in front of the networks, hoping to cut and block the exercises or in any case remind our friends in uniform or between the government desks that we do not want the bases ".

These statements will now be evaluated by the police. The exponents of the Sardinian Peace Table also speak of intimidation, while Sardinia Libera considers the intervention of the police "a disproportionate and unjustified act of arrogance".
