He died alone, in his home in Iglesias, and was only found after ten days.
The drama took place in the compendium of the former Casermette, Col di Lana district.
Yesterday morning the neighbors noticed a very strong smell coming from the apartment of Sergio Cocco, 65, a retired forest ranger, and alarmed the police.
The carabinieri and firefighters arrived at the scene. Cocco was on the bed, probably the victim of an illness.
While waiting to understand the dynamics of the accident and the possible request by the magistrate for an autopsy that could reveal the causes of death, we reflect on how it is possible that a person described without any particular problems of any kind has undergone a similar fate.
