Water runs intermittently, when things are going well. Otherwise, taps run dry. This is the dire situation many residents of Assemini have been experiencing for at least ten days. And the disruption seems unresolved.

"The hardship that so many families are experiencing these past hours and days is truly devastating and dramatic," says Mayor Mario Puddu. When a basic need like water is lacking, he maintains, "words aren't enough, I know, but it's crucial to know that since this hardship began, there hasn't been a single day that I haven't spoken to Abbanoa to figure out how to resolve this problem."

Over the weekend, the water utility company carried out some interventions, but they did not produce the desired results.

Puddu states that Abbania "is very concerned and attentive to the updates I send them, and they have assured me of their full commitment to resolving the problem. Obviously, I understand that patience, after all these days, is at an all-time low, if not exhausted, and you have my complete understanding," Puddu concludes, addressing his fellow citizens.
