The battle to defend healthcare continues on its path and, after the 2000 people who took to the streets in Fonni, today it has reached Punta La Marmora.

Here, over 500 people from all over the island joined the great march organized by the acronyms SOS Barbagia Mandrolisai and Giù le Mani dall'Ogliastra. In synergy with the regional network of committees.

And it was clear from the early hours of the morning that we were heading for a boom in attendance at the altitude, when dozens gathered at the 4 established starting points: Bruncuspina, Su Filariu, Pira 'Onne and the Ruinas nuraghe in Arzana. Departure at 8am with arrival at the top around 11am.

The summit is framed by posters in support of small garrisons, with maximum attention to essential services for the citizen. In the background, at the foot of a small fortress, various speeches took place, reflecting on the importance of the day.

Coordinating the debate was Gianfranca Salvai who at the beginning underlined: «Today is not a random step, but a concrete action to see the right to health of Sardinians guaranteed».

Among others, the network of committees, SOS Barbagia Mandrolisai and the mayor of Lanusei were present.

And in Fonni's large group also Lina Cadau, the wife of the cancer patient Gianmichele Angheleddu, who a few weeks ago was invited to be treated outside Sardinia due to the long waiting times for radiotherapy.
