Hooligans in Balai: Love's bench damaged for the fourth time

After the latest act of hooliganism on Balai beach, the vandals returned to the viewpoint to once again damage the Love bench.

This is the fourth raid against the structure, located in the green area above the Porto Torres beach. And in the meantime, the destructive work of gangs of thugs who, unpunished, act in the night and attack public property does not stop. They removed the heart that the Multiservizi workers had restored only a few months ago, after the usual unknown people had damaged it last May.

The heart-shaped structure that framed the seat was broken for the fourth time. On Thursday night, vandals targeted the lifeguard station. They worked hard on the turret and the rescue gear. They dismantled the posts and ropes for entering the water, messed up the lookout booth and made the lifeguard's chair disappear.

Furthermore, the flag pole and a small umbrella were broken along with the oars of the boat used for the rescue activity. Only a few days ago the controversy broke out on the beach which became unbearable. Insults, threats and throwing of stones and sand towards swimmers and the instructors of the Ad Academy Snorkeling, in charge of the beach. The mayor Massimo Mulas declared that he has increased controls to remove groups of children who are keeping the beach in check.
