The woman who was hit by a car in Cagliari this morning is in serious condition.

The 80-year-old was crossing on the crossing in Via San Michele when a car came along and hit her. The person behind the wheel immediately stopped to help the pensioner and called for help.

An ambulance and municipal police patrols attended the scene.

The accident occurred shortly before 1pm. The woman, taken to Brotzu under code red, suffered a head injury and a suspected shoulder fracture.
